Japan-Korea Professional Engineer’s Symposium

Japan-Korea Professional Engineer’s Symposium was held on Oct. 17th through 19^th in Kobe. On Oct.18^th, I had a presentation on 5^th session meeting after keynote after keynote lecture.

 

The title of my speech was “How to make drinkable or usable water from treated wastewater”. I Bedok NEWater Visitor Centre in the southeast of Singapore. There is huge water treatment plants (NEWater) in which such an advanced technology is used, and they cover 40% of whole country's water supply. Some advanced membrane technologies developed in Japan are used. I introduced the system by showing some photos I took there. After my speech, someone asked me about the system and I answered.   

 

After the session meeting, Evening Party was held. Many professional engineers of both country enjoyed some attraction and conversation.

NEWater Visitor Centre

It is possible enough to treat wastewater and also make drinkable pure water by using latest advanced technology. Actually, in Singapore, there are huge water treatment plants in which such an advanced technology is used, and they cover 40% of whole country's water supply. Some advanced membrane technologies developed in Japan are used. Anyone can observe one of the plants, and I also visited there (NEWater Visitor Centre) on July 10th.

The worst scenario for US

After a big project was over,

I could have a free time today.

So, I made such a graphic.

 

I should know the world economic situation more deeply.

 

I became aware of the fact that GDP of US will be less than summation of GDP of Japan, China and Korea in 2018.

 

Although these three countries are warring many time, the huge economic zone which is larger than US could be built if the three countries would have good relation.

I hope that three countries had better not be warring.

 

However, it may be the worst scenario for US.

Spring Fes.

On Mar. 31st and Apr. 1st, Spring Festival was held in our town.

Most people of town gathered, lively and loudly. We beat large drums and play flutes.

It was fine on both days!!

JAXA

Last week, technical tour was held for PE of Aichi branch.

WE visited JAXA (Japan Aerospace eXploration Agency).

 

Many spacecrafts and rocket are showed in this facility.

 

Too interesting!

Eco action 21

Last week, I audited about Eco action 21.

Although the Eco action 21 is not more famous than ISO, recently a lot of SME got authentication about it in Japan.

I have a license of auditor of the Eco action 21.

 

There is the SME near Meitetsu Hotei station.

Electric consumption of the factory has decreased drastically, because the main compressors were renewed to the latest type.
