Repairing DO meter

I use various measure equipment to work as an engineering consultant.

pH meter, DO meter, electric conductivity meter, thermometer and so on.

Except the thermometer, there is need to maintain periodically.

Because if the performance of measure equipment is bad condition, I can hardly do accurate or proper technical advises.

As the condition of DO meter was wrong, I changed battery and internal liquid of the equipment.

As a result, it could be recovered.

However, the work that I put small o-ring in the sensor by using tweezer was a troublesome task for me, although I could do easily in my younger days.

Am I presbyopia?

 

ENEX2017 in Tokyo

On Feb. 16^th, I visited Tokyo to collect some latest environmental technology information.
ENEX2017(Energy supply & Service Showcase2017) and InterAqua(8^th International Water Solution Exhibition ) were held at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan.

There were a lot of displays about renewable energy or energy saving devices. Recently, waste heat of effluent water from factories have been able to available for steam boilers.

Next day, on Feb. 17^th, I visited Kawasaki international Eco-tech Fair and collected many information about environmental technology near Tokyo.

Latest electric vehicles, Waste treatment system by using Iot technology, latest fuel batteries and some state-of-the-art goods were exhibited.

They were so useful experiences for me. However I regretted that I can hardly digest the too much information I collected during only two days.

Mihama town evening party

I attended an evening party hosted by Mihama town commerce and industry association.

That was a meaningful and useful party because there were not only various kind of business field but also various age range.

Two young person had speech in front of audiences. Those were active and dreamy.

Participants were all drinking and discussed about how this town will be activated. Because the average age of this town is getting increase now, and decline of the number of children continue.

Toyohama fishing port

I visited Toyohama fishing port area to implement energy saving diagnosis. 

There are also some staffs who are committed to energy saving there.

Some suggestions have been told to meet there expectation, although I cannot say detail because I have a duty of confidentiality as a professional engineer. 

In February, I’ll implement two other energy saving diagnosis.

Heavy snow

In front of Kowaguchi Station, on Meitetsu Kowa line, there is an objet of Kappa.
Kappa is one of the traditional legendary creature of Japan.

It was the heavy snow for the first time in several years on Jan. 15^th.

Much snow piled on the objet like this photo.

3 days after, all snow melted completely.

 

Parent -and -children hobby project event

I visited Hamamatsu Science Museum on Jan. 8th.

Mr. Makoto Hayashi, a member of Hitachi PE Association, invited me to see the interesting event, parent -and -children hobby project event “Let’s make a toy car that can drive automatically”.

The event was hosted by Hitachi PE Association, and co-hosted Sho-Rin (solar bike race team in Hamamatsu) and Hamamatsu Johoku technical high school.

50 peers of parent -and -children were enjoy making a ty car in this room.

Because making it was pretty difficult, children and their parents had tough time.

However they all completed making their car successfully by the aid of advices by high school students.

As the blue LED acts as a sensor, the car traces the white line and runs.

It was interesting!
