Stag beetle

I caught a stag beetle near my office.

I asked a foreign girl friend who live in Seoul.

“Do you know this insect? Is there also in Korea?”

Her reply is as follows,

“Yeah we have that kinda insect which name is hanulso. (sky cow meaning) Hanul is sky. So mean cow.”

Visited Dalian

I visited Dalian City, China.

Few years ago, I’ve worked about water treatment engineering consultant here. This time, air treatment engineering consultant has been requested to us. Although I cannot tackle such a job, I introduced the other PE whose specialty is air treatment engineering. To meet contract condition, I also visited here with him. I saw president of company and other persons who coordinated our project then.

A meeting about contract condition and how to implement this project is over successfully. After the meeting, we had a dinner in which a various kind of fresh sea foods were catered. And we took a photo there as follows.

 

Business meeting in Busan

I visited Busan in Korea last week.

A business consulting meeting about water treatment technology was held with a client in this city.

First, target of this business was not so clear, so we will start to find the actual problem.

However I could expect the outline of business situation about this project, so I made and submitted a proposal document and estimate sheet.

“Too early! At first, you should see and check the situation of our company. And next you had to think and recommend an improvement method.” The client said.

So I apologized.

However, after long discussion, we agreed and had a contract.

Finally, we took a photo together as follows.

Some microbes are observed by microscope.

These are may be Chlorella.

The treatment condition will be getting better.

To Korea and China

I’ll visit Busan city, Korea on May 18^th through 19^th.

In the beginning of April, I entered a business matching meeting in Tokyo and discussed with a client about some issues of the company, however we have not agreed. So I’ll visit the company to discuss more detail in detail. I’ll submit a proposal that will make the client too happy by understanding needs of client deeply.

I’ll visit Dalian city, China on June 10^th through 12^th.

About three years ago, I did engineering consultant about water purification technology there. However, this time, I introduced the other professional engineer who are good at an air purification technology because I can hardly deal with the issues. I’ll be invited in order to meet the contract conditions, so I’ll also visit there. I’m looking forward to see president of the company and other persons who worked with me then.

Repairing DO meter

I use various measure equipment to work as an engineering consultant.

pH meter, DO meter, electric conductivity meter, thermometer and so on.

Except the thermometer, there is need to maintain periodically.

Because if the performance of measure equipment is bad condition, I can hardly do accurate or proper technical advises.

As the condition of DO meter was wrong, I changed battery and internal liquid of the equipment.

As a result, it could be recovered.

However, the work that I put small o-ring in the sensor by using tweezer was a troublesome task for me, although I could do easily in my younger days.

Am I presbyopia?

 

ENEX2017 in Tokyo

On Feb. 16^th, I visited Tokyo to collect some latest environmental technology information.
ENEX2017(Energy supply & Service Showcase2017) and InterAqua(8^th International Water Solution Exhibition ) were held at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan.

There were a lot of displays about renewable energy or energy saving devices. Recently, waste heat of effluent water from factories have been able to available for steam boilers.

Next day, on Feb. 17^th, I visited Kawasaki international Eco-tech Fair and collected many information about environmental technology near Tokyo.

Latest electric vehicles, Waste treatment system by using Iot technology, latest fuel batteries and some state-of-the-art goods were exhibited.

They were so useful experiences for me. However I regretted that I can hardly digest the too much information I collected during only two days.
